On behalf of the 2009 sponsors and partners…Welcome to the HR Department of the Year Awards Blog!

The HR Department of the Year Awards Blog will serve as a bi-weekly update on the application and registration process, as well as a source of information from past and current sponsors, judges, attendees, nominees, and award winners.

The 2009 HR Department of the Year Awards is a program that was created in 1998 to recognize outstanding human resources departments in the Delaware Valley. The 2009 dinner and awards presentation will be held November 19, 2009 from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Crystal Tea Room.

Human Resources departments in the Delaware Valley interested in being recognized for their achievements can apply for the HR Department of the Year Award and the HR Awards for Excellence in one of seven categories, including employee relations, talent acquisition, leadership development, technology, diversity, benefits or employee wellness.

Plus, this year the new CEO of the Year Award will be open for nominations for Chief Executive Officers who have provided investment growth, service improvements for customers, and ensured the welfare and performance of all employees with a proven awareness of the human resources function and its importance in the success of their organization.

All organizations from small to large are invited to submit an application for the awards online at http://www.hrawards.org/ up until the deadline: September 25, 2009.
